Jingle Bells, Batman Smells

This question always causes mini-riots during the holiday season so why not just throw that bomb out to our lovely cowineco customers.  Which is THE BEST Christmas movie ever?

Please Pass the Bird of High Moral Character

Had Ben Franklin had his way, all those patriotic big-rig mudflaps and 4th of July commemorative plates would look quite different:

"For my own part I wish the Eagle had not been chosen the representative of our country. He is a bird of bad moral character. He does not get his Living honestly. You may have seen him perched on some dead tree near the river, where, too lazy to fish for himself, he watches the labor of the Fishing Hawk ... For in truth the Turkey is in comparison a much more respectable bird, and withal a true original native of America ... He is besides, though a little vain & silly, a bird of courage, and would not hesitate to attack a grenadier of the British Guards who should presume to invade his farm yard with a red coat on."

~ Benjamin Franklin in a letter to his daughter, Sarah Bache

So, what to do you need to wash down that tryptophan?  Whites and reds that pair with a variety of tastes from squash soup to deep fried turkey.  Here are a few of our favorites:

And some off the beaten path varietals that work just as well:

Blaufrankisch

Grenache Blanc

Kris Curran Grenache Blanc, Santa Ynez – $24.99

Odysseus Grenache Blanc, Priorat, Spain - $24.99

And now a quick word on Tryptophan.  Because Tryptophan is a long, confusing 50 cent word either meaning "an admirer of slapstick" or "that amino acid found in turkey that causes sleepiness" we thought we could best sum up in pictures.

Here is a proper graph of the Tryptophan Reaction:

Which we counter with our Doctor approved CoWineCo diagram:
