When restaurants offer no, low, or discounted corkage for wine you bring into their restaurants, it's a big deal. The margin on food aint pretty so alcohol usually makes up the difference for them. So, support these restaurants! And please, by all means, leave comments below with restaurants we have left out that offer low or no corkage.

Leave a comment From "Eat: Los Angeles" I give you Daisy Mint in Pasadena -- No corkage and "Brightly flavored and affordable Korean-Thai-Chinese dishes... this modern mom and pop is decorated with empty flea-market frames and vintage chandeliers... everyone likes the family style Asian-fusion dishes to share."East of Lake Ave on Colorado - across from Michael's. 1218 E. Colorado Blvd, Pasadena (626) 792-2999 daisymint.com April 17, 2009 11:40 AM Colori Kitchen downtown (8th and Olive) is a SUPERB, lively authentic Italian joint -- actual Italians cook and serve the simple, inexpensive, to-die-for dishes and there is no corkage fee. Just don't forget to bring your own wine because if you have to buy it at the Golden Gopher next door you will get totally hosed. Colori Kitchen: 429 West 8th, near Olive; (213) 622-5950. Everyone we've taken here has named their first-born child after us. April 17, 2009 2:50 PM |
This may not totally be northeast...but Caioti on Tujunga between Moorpark and Ventura, Studio City, is MY absolute favorite Friday night spot. NO CORKAGE...they simply give you an opener and two cups, so I recommend bringing your own glasses (we do.) The pizzas are amazing - I have the Rustica every time I'm there. It's a small place, so the wait can be long between 6 and 8 p.m.
