This question always causes mini-riots during the holiday season so why not just throw that bomb out to our lovely cowineco customers.  Which is THE BEST Christmas movie ever?

Friday Wine Tasting: Pay the Piper

Friday, May 21st

5:30 - 8:30 pm

$15/person for 5 wines + artisanal cheeses from Auntie Em's

Today is the birthday of none other than Irishman Stephen B. Piper who, in 1926, collected a tithe for those wishing to cross the River Liffey and get a drink at The Palace. The nearest bridge was out for a period of 3 months and Piper ferried people across who either didn't want to or physically couldn't (due to slight inebriation) find their way to a safe crossing. You might think that 'pay the piper' originated with the Pied Piper, but you'd be wrong. It's all about getting to the bar. Happy Birthday, Stephen.
